Disgraced District Supervisor Candidate Accused of Multiple Accounts of Sexual Assault Dons Disney Villain Drag to Election Night Watch Party

Manny Yekutiel decisively dropped out of San Francisco’s District 8 Supervisor race last month after at least three people accused the political hopeful of sexual assault. On Tuesday evening, he dressed up as Cruella DeVille at his own election watch party.

Manny Yekutiel is a glutton for attention, consensual or otherwise. Yekutiel, during his brief candidacy for District 8 supervisor, single-handedly threw a wrench into SF’s machine of established Democrats when it was discovered that the thirty-something cafe owner was a serial groper. (Never mind that it took not one, but a collective three credible accounts of sexual assault raised against Yekutiel for prominent San Francisco politicians and political organizations to rescind thier endorsements of the ill-prepared political mimic.)

Yekutiel, who frequently wears a disco-tiled helmet while riding his motorized scooter around San Francisco, is perpetually chatty, on and offline. Thus, his noted silence over these past few weeks hasn’t gone without notice or intrigue. So you can imagine our surprise when images of Yekutiel dressed in Cruella DeVille drag graced — or, rather, cursed — our timeline.

Prancing around his Mission District cafe, Manny’s … Manny, himself, hosted an election-night watch party inside the community space’s large backroom. There, flashes from televised ballot-count updates bounced off a blue, sparsely sequined gown that hugged his body like sausage casing; an unmistakably black-and-white wig sat atop his head; heels managed to afford the man height, despite his lack of any measurable backbone.

In a night flush with rewetted fancies of millennial optimism, Yekutile bittered the waters with a level of crudeness only a (perceived) sociopath could squeeze out.

Fiction would have a hard time reflecting a more absurd window into someone’s real character: The San Francisco Superivoser hopeful, pedestaled by the City’s morally corrupt politicians and billionaire-backed organizations, chose to dress up as a Disney villain — one notorious for her total lack of empathy — after SF itself pushed him away because of his history of sexual assault.

Manny Yekutiel’s fall from grace is karma at its most satisfactory, and it’s worthy of a subsequent haiku. Only time will tell if he plans to reimburse the $255,000 in public money San Francisco paid to fund his disgraced supervisor’s campaign.
